Bonita Phillips 71, of Dowagiac Michigan passed away Saturday September 3, 2022 in Portage Michigan.
She was born in Dowagiac Michigan, November 3, 1950, the daughter of Gayl Benton Phillips and Elizabeth June Sibley-Phillips.
Bonita loved spending time with her family, she cherished her children and grandchildren. She collected knick knacks, mainly salt & pepper shakers. She enjoyed knitting and crochet, cooking for her family and playing games. Bonita was a very kind and thoughtful person.
Bonita is survived by her sons; Delmur (Katie) Phillips of Dowagiac, Drew Phillips of Decatur, grandsons; Dominic Phillips, Dustin Phillips and Allen Phillips, sister; Kathleen New of Marcellus, brother; Darrel (Shari) Phillips of Marcellus, sister; Rebecca Phillips of Kalamazoo, and many nieces and nephews.
Bonita is preceded in death by her parents Gayl & Elizabeth, brother; Dennis Phillips and sister Marcia Ferguson. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday October 1 at 1:00 pm. at South Wayne Cemetery, with Pastor Scott Wiles officiating.
