Donald Dean Miller, 88, of Marcellus, passed away at his home on Saturday, January 8, 2022; exactly five months after his wife, Patsy.
Don was born on July 26, 1933, to the late Gaylord and Ruth (Ayers) Miller in Marcellus. Don wed Dawn “Patsy” Nash and shortly after he enlisted in the United States Army. The two eventually settled in Marcellus where they raised their three daughters, Linda, Cheryl, and Dawn. After many years Don retired from Sunstrand where he worked on copper coils. Though he worked at Sunstrand Don had a true passion for working on cars. His dad taught him everything he knew about being a mechanic and the two worked on cars in much of their free time.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gaylord and Ruth Miller; wife, Patsy Miller; and brother, Dale Miller.
Don is survived by his three daughters, Linda (Kim) Fox of Marcellus, Cheryl (Martin) Gilmore of Spring Arbor, Michigan, and Dawn Haynes of Glens Falls, New York; grandchildren, Ashley (Woodrow) Bowers of Mishawaka, Amber (Travis) Barrett of Syracuse, Indiana, Melissa Kurtz of Spring Arbor, Joshua Moore of Spring Arbor, and Jonathan (Jessie) Miller Glens Falls; great-grandchildren, Remington, Temperance, Sawyer, and Ethan; sister, Carol Pierson of Stevensville; and many extended family members and close friends.
Don has been cremated and a private gathering will be held where Don will be laid to rest at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens next to his wife.
