PUBLIC NOTICE
BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is hereby given that the Cass County Board of Commissioners will conduct a public hearing on October 2, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. at the Cass County Administration Building, 120 N. Broadway, in Commissioners Chambers, for the purpose of affording citizens an opportunity to examine and submit comments on the proposed application for a CDBG grant.

Cass County proposes to use CDBG grant funds in the amount of $37,194.00 for the Emergency Home Repair Program. All activities, upon completion, will benefit low- to moderate-income households. Zero persons will be displaced as a result of the proposed activities.

Further information, including a copy of Cass County’s community development plan and CDBG application is available for review. To inspect the documents, please contact Cass County Treasurer Hope Anderson or review at the Cass County Administration Building, 120 N. Broadway, Cassopolis. Comments may be submitted in writing through October 2, 2025, or made in person at the public hearing.

Citizen views and comments on the proposed plan are welcome.

Cass County will provide necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and service to individuals with disabilities. Individuals with disabilities requiring auxiliary aids or services should contact Cass County at 269-445-4420 or JenniferR@cassco.org.


NOTICE OF REGISTRATION FOR THE ELECTION
TO BE HELD ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 4, 2025
NEWBERG TOWNSHIP

TO THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS OF NEWBERG TOWNSHIP:

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that any qualified elector of Newberg Township who is not already registered, may register to vote at the office of the Township Clerk, the office of the County Clerk, Secretary of State branch office, or other designated state agency. Registration forms can be obtained at mi.gov/vote and mailed to the Township Clerk. Voters who are already registered may update their registration at www.expressSOS.com

The last day to register in any manner other than in-person with the local clerk is
Monday, October 20, 2025.

After this date, anyone who qualifies as an elector may register to vote in person with proof of residency (MCL 168.497) at the Newberg Township Clerk’s office, located at 10320 Born St. Jones, MI. 49061 by contacting the clerk and scheduling an appointment by emailing clerk@newbergtwp.com or calling 269-251-6600.
