Roger Seelye, Jr. passed away peacefully on May 27, 2025. As a lifetime resident of Marcellus, he had spent the past two years in an assisted living home in Wayland after suffering a severe stroke. Roger loved farming, livestock, and helping kids with 4-H animals. He’ll be missed by many people throughout the country that knew him and his knowledge of sheep and his friendly nature. Roger graduated from Marcellus High School in 1975 and went on to graduate from MSU with an Animal Husbandry degree.
He enjoyed working his later years at Armstrong International in Three Rivers making a new set of friends.
Leaving behind is brother Berwyn (Amy)Seelye, and sister Joyce (Steve) Gyllstrom, nephews, Alex (Ashley) Gyllstrom, Eric (Leslie) Gyllstrom, Jack Seelye and niece, Ellie Seelye. He was preceded in death by parents Roger and Linda Seelye.
Cremation has occurred, and his family will plan a celebration of his life later this year.
