The Wildcats traveled to Decatur, January 11, to take on the Raiders in a Southwest 10 matchup. The first quarter was close and the Wildcats trailed 11-20 after the first eight minutes. Another close quarter saw the Wildcats trailing 25-37 at halftime. The Wildcats tried to close the gap, but a Raiders run had the Wildcats trailing 41-55 entering the final quarter. The Wildcats outscored the Raiders 14-11 in the fourth quarter, but it was not enough and they fell to the Raiders, 55-68.

Friday, January 14, saw the Wildcats traveling to Bloomingdale for another Southwest 10 matchup. Marcellus fell behind 5-17 after eight minutes. A much closer second quarter, where the Wildcats tried to narrow the gap, saw the Wildcats scoring 12 points to 15 for the Cardinals, and they trailed 17-32 at half. The Wildcats came out of the locker room and outscored the Cardinals 19-10 in the 3rd quarter, but trailed 36-42 entering the final quarter. Marcellus scored 20 4th quarter points, but their comeback attempt fell short and they gave up 21 points to Bloomingdale. The Wildcats fell 56-63.

The Wildcats traveled to Cassopolis, Friday, January 21, to take on an always-tough Rangers squad. Unfortunately, the Rangers were just too much to handle for the young Wildcats and the Wildcats fell in defeat 29-83.

The Wildcats had their first home game of the season on Tuesday, January 25, and they hosted the Southwest 10 powerhouse, Centreville Bulldogs. The Wildcats struggled to matchup with the Bulldogs and they fell in defeat 13-72.

Friday, January 28, saw the Wildcats hosting the Mendon Hornets. The Wildcats fell behind early and trailed 8-21 after one quarter. A much closer second quarter, where the Wildcats scored 5 points, while giving up 8 points to the Hornets. The halftime score saw the Wildcats trailing 13-29. The 3rd quarter saw the Wildcats winning the quarter, scoring 7 points to 5 for the Hornets. They trailed 20-34 entering the final stanza. Although the 4th quarter was much closer, with a score of 11-14, the Wildcats comeback attempt was not enough and they fell to the Hornets 31-48.
