To the residents of the Village of Marcellus:
You may have heard about the CHILL grant over the past few months and we’re happy to announce that applications will be available starting September 9, 2024, both online and in paper form. Paper copies can be picked up at Marcellus Township Wood Memorial Library, Village Hall, and Patch & Remington during open hours.
What is the CHILL grant?
The Village of Marcellus has recently been awarded $483,000 from the Community Development Block CHILL Grant (CDBG Housing Initiatives Local Livability) funded by the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA). This funding is intended to support homeowner rehab for residents that reside within the Village of Marcellus and meet MSHDA guideline requirements.
What can it do for me?
The CHILL grant can offer homeowner rehab funding including roof replacement and repair, electricity repairs, accessibility modifications, and other interior and exterior improvements that meet applicable rehabilitation standards and code requirements.
