Bluegill Frolic Committee Meeting Minutes – June 18, 2026

Called to Order: 6:04 pm Adjourned: 6:45 pm

Members Present: Todd Snider- President, Cindy Wilson, Billy Burandt, Chelsea Proffitt-Treasurer, Mark Mierzejewski, Lois Burandt

Members Absent: Billiejo Snider-Secretary (voting live online), Jaclyn Lyles, Tommy Puleo, Gavin Trewhitt, Ann Southworth, Amber Meyer

Guests Present: Brian New and Mike Burleigh

Financial Goal: $32,000

Money Raised: $23,853.22 74.5% Raised 

New Sponsors since last meeting:

Premier: Goods Mechanical & Construction Services LLC $1,000, Franger Gas $1,000.

Silver: J.C & Son’s Inc. $250. Faith Plastics $250.

Old Business Discussed:
Website Updates: Facebook and Instagram Logos have been added. Superior Logo has been added. Poster Added. Vendors, Beer/Wine and Parade Information added. Volunteers can now register on our website as well.

Patch & Remington: Just a reminder if we can help out at Patch & Remington Tony and Sarah would be much appreciative.

First Fridays: July 17th, August 7th, September 4th and October 2nd (Okterberfest) we will have a beer tent and merchandise for sale.

Fundraising: June 5th First Friday-Thank you all for helping. June 6th fundraising event of Adult Prom was canceled due to the lack of ticket sales to cover our costs. Car Show Saturday 9-4 p.m, need at least 4 of us there through the day to handle the Car Show and Merchandise table.

Updates:
PR/Marketing: All Posters and Fliers have been printed and distributed. If you are going to a festival please make sure to share our fliers. If you need some let us know and we can get you some. Banners are up on 216, M40, and the corner of M40/Marcellus Hwy. Again please push the website.

MVP:Meeting was June 4th. Spoke about setting up for Brynn’s show on July 10th around 2 PM. MVP is approaching the City Council and the DDA with what they are trying to do for the community to try and get more involvement. Next meeting is July 2nd at Regina’s.

DDA: June 11th-updated that we are all set for our Liquor licence, Insurance, Merchandise and Silent Auction for the July 17th Celebration of America turning 250 downtown Marcellus.

Village Council: May 26th we are approved for selling alcohol at all First Friday’s events, July 17th event and The Bluegill Frolic. June 9th-Sidewalk project to be completed by July 10th, let the attorney know we have multiple events going on in July (Brynn 11th and Celebration of America July 17th.

Next Meetings: Village Council 6/23 at 7:00 p.m., DDA 7/9 at 6:00p.m. The public is welcome to attend both.

Rides: We need to find a Bounce House. Possible avenue using the Army Recruiters, Todd to reach out to Anthony with the recruiting office.

Beer/Wine Choices: Lager-Founders MI Pilsner. IPA-Big Lake Brewing Blood Orange, Amber Ale- Big Lake Brewing Amber Ale, Cider- B Nektar Zombie Killer. Light Beers- Coors Light, Bud Light and Miller Lite, Non-Alcoholic- Michelob Zero. Wines- Barefoot Red Mascoto, White Mascoto, Pinot Noir, Pinot Grigio, Cabernet Sauvignon and Buttery Chardonnay.

Financials: Checking $4,440.36   Savings: $1,000.37

Financial Discussions and Approvals/Denials:
Baked Goods/Merchandise for First Fridays: Cookies (Lois Burandt, donating 100% profit to the Bluegill Frolic), Baked Goods (Ursala Giles, Proceeds % negotiable) and Sourdough Bread (Lindsey Morehouse, Donating 70% to The Bluegill Frolic), Aunt Ann’s Candles (Anne Southworth, Donating 50% of profit to The Bluegill Frolic, Misfit Creations at First Fridays (Jaclyn Lyles, Donating 50% profit to The Bluegill Frolic.)

Payments Agreed Upon by All Members: Remaining payment made to Canopeum if full in the amount of $926.50. Remaining payment made to the Dunk Tank in full in the amount of $267.67. Remaining payment made to Richmond Sanitary in full in the amount of $680.00, Money set aside for Security of $480 to be paid on the weekend of The Frolic. An additional payment of $1,646.00 made towards balance owed to Vertical Edge for the rides leaving a balance of $7,494.

Remaining balances ($5,450) owed for bands to be paid the night of their show: Jeremy Hartman-$200.00

Hairmania-$2,250.00 (this is with the additional $150 added as mentioned below), Spork Fight- $400.00, The Bronk Bros. $1.800.00, Rebel Pride- $800.00 Additional $150.00 for Hairmania due to the raise in costs. Agreed upon by all in Community Chat.

Imperial Beverage: Budgeted $1500 (about $900 last year) to be paid Saturday Night August 15th.

Public Comments:
Look into a way to track attendance

Lighted up Beer/Wine Sign would be neat for 2027

Look into another way to collect money- Square and Quickbooks were discussed

Next Meeting Scheduled: Thursday July 16th at 6pm at Patch & Remington
