The Boulevard Billies bring a heapin’ helpin’ of fun and American roots music to First Friday, July 1, 5:00 – 8:00pm, in downtown Marcellus.
The First Friday group is hosting a Happy Birthday, USA! party, July 1, from 5:00-8:00pm in downtown Marcellus.
The second of five First Fridays this summer features The Boulevard Billies, an acoustic quartet that incorporates elements of various American roots music styles, including classic country, roots-rock, folk and bluegrass resulting in a distinctive sound that highlights over a century of musical experiences.
From Bluegrass festivals, breweries, bars, eateries, clubs, theaters and Hootenannies, The Boulevard Billies have been entertaining millions and bazillions with their blend of Americana Roots Music seasoned with a heapin’ helpin’ of light-hearted stage humor.
Over the years, the Billies are proud to say they’ve shared the stage with such great acts as Drew Emmitt, Steep Canyon Rangers, Corn Meal, Pure Prairie League, Little Jimmy Dickens, Commander Cody, Peter Rowan and the Dillards.
The Billies will perform in Columbian Park, a great spot for a family picnic. Lawn chairs, blankets and picnic baskets are welcome (please remember to clean up afterwards). Food will be available from various vendors throughout the evening.
The group’s performance is just one activity during Happy Birthday, USA! More details will be announced as they become available. All activities are free and open to the public.
First Fridays in 2022 are June 3, July 1, August 5, September 2, and October 7, from 5:00 – 8:00 pm in downtown Marcellus.
First Friday is sponsored in part by the Marcellus Area Historical Society. For more information, email marcellusfirstfriday@gmail.com.
