Cass County Clerk/Register’s Office rolling out new Jury Summons system

July 15, 2025 By Marcellus News Leave a Comment

CASS COUNTY, Mich. — Beginning in August, Cass County residents summoned for jury duty will notice a change in the process, according to Clerk/Register of Deeds Monica McMichael.

The Clerk/Register’s Office has upgraded to a new system for distributing jury duty summons. The new system requires those summoned to fill out a questionnaire online instead of filling out a longhand form.

To alleviate any confusion, Clerk/Register Monica McMichael wants to reassure residents that the new summons and process are legitimate.

The new postcards will list Cass County Courts, 60296 M-62, Cassopolis, as the return address. The back of the card includes a QR code and URL directing recipients to the Juror Access website. Those without a smart phone or internet access may call (269) 445-4464 for more information.

Postcards for August jury trials are scheduled to be mailed next week. Recipients are urged to carefully follow the instructions on the card and prepare to report as directed.
