Charles F. Maschke, 85, passed away on Friday, September 12, 2025, at Georgetown Hospital. He was born February 17, 1940, in Marcellus, Michigan, the only son of the late Zada Weikel and Frederick Carl Maschke.
In 1976, Charles moved to Paris, KY, as manager of a local vineyard. After the vineyard closed, he was a successful business owner in downtown Paris for many years. He was a longstanding member of Paris Lodge #2 Free & Accepted Masons. Along with his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his second son, Fred Maschke.
He is survived by two sons, Chadwick Maschke, Marcellus, MI, and Eric (Carol) Maschke, Paris, KY; four grandchildren: Chad (Crystal) Wilhite, Foley, AL; Bradley (Nikita) Maschke, Grayson, KY; Holly (Justin) Statler, Dowagiac, MI; Josh (Beth) Maschke, Marcellus, MI, fourteen great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. A special friend, Virginia Britton, and her children, Jason (Alice) Britton and Frankie (Brooks) Morris.
The family is thankful for the support of the doctors and nurses of Georgetown Hospital and Hospice during his final days.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Hinton Turner Funeral Home on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 1 to 3 pm, with Masonic Rites after visitation.
Final resting place will be at the family plot in Rose Hill Cemetery, Marcellus, MI.
