Charlotte Marie Rifenberg

June 13, 1938 – August 27, 2023

Charlotte Marie Rifenberg, 85, of Jones, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2023, at Elkhart General Hospital. 

Charlotte was born in Richland Center, Wisconsin, the daughter of Harry and Helen Bristol on June 13, 1938. In 1950 Charlotte became a Jones, Michigan, resident along with her family where she attended Three Rivers High School.

In 1955 Charlotte married Olen “Jr.” Rifenberg and established their family farm. Their home “The Farm” was known to the Jones community as a great place for conversation and a good cup of coffee. Holidays were always an open door at “The Farm” where you could find Charlotte making delicious meals for friends and family always including her famous potato salad. Charlotte enjoyed watching the hummingbirds, spending time in her flower garden, a challenging puzzle and her amazing family.

Remaining to cherish her memory are her husband Olen “Jr.” Rifenberg, daughters, Pandy (Paul) Chiddister, Connie Rifenberg, sons, Charlie Rifenberg and Bryan Rifenberg. Sister Janet (Bill) Hartman and Brother Verlin Bristol. Brother-In-Law James (Donna) Rifenberg. 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Charlotte was preceeded in death by her parents Harry and Helen Bristol, sisters Yvonne Neumueller, Harriet Savacool and Bonita Thompson and one brother Richard Bristol.

Visitation is Thursday, August 31, 2023, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Newberg, 13021 Born St., Jones. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the church with Pastor Mike Owen and Chris Christopherson officiating. She will be laid to rest in Poe’s Cemetery.
