The Bible was written over a period of 2,000 years by 40 different writers and 66 books with the same thread running through them all. God, who loved the world, is a strong argument in its favor.
God claims to have spoken His Word to His servants, the prophets, to us. Revelation 1:1-3 says: 1) “The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants – things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John, 2) who bore witness to the word of God, and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, and to all things that he saw. 3) Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.”
The Bible is all about God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Genesis 1:26 reads: “Then God said, ‘Let us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.’”
Most of us know the joy of having a child that resembles us. Perhaps this experience shows us what our Creator must have felt when He formed Adam and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and he became a living soul. Adam and Eve were perfect in every way – mentally, physically, and spiritually, until the rebellion spread from heaven to earth (Revelation 12:7 9). Since God said that the wages of sin is death the world has been plunged into the struggles of life and death ever since. But God loved us so much that He provided a way to save all who would accept the Lamb of God to die in their place. So, our Creator became our Redeemer.
This, my Friends, is the story, history, His story that the Bible proclaims. We have the story of how we got here, why we are here, and where we are going. This should bring hope and anticipation for the future. If you haven’t yet, find a Bible believing church and share your faith with others. Praise the Lord today for His written word.
Stay tuned, HS
