Inside the Marcellus Community Schools

September 27, 2022 By Nanette Pauley Leave a Comment

Marcellus Community Schools kicked off two exciting, on-site career-technical education (CTE) programs this fall.  CTE programs strive to combine academic, employability and technical skills needed to succeed in post secondary education and careers.  CTE prepares students for the world of work by introducing them to workplace competencies in a real-world, applied context.

Great Things are Happening at Marcellus Community Schools!

Teacher Cadet Program

Under the guidance of teacher Mrs. Cooper, high school students have the opportunity to explore a career in the teaching profession through a combination of clinical experience and direct instruction.  Pictured (l-r) are cadets Savannah Sears, Alivia Colley, Sophia Affresio, Makynna Harrison, Jacob Adams, and teacher Mrs. Cooper.

AgriScience Program

Animal Science students and teacher Abby Asmus welcome chicks to a new home! The chickens and their coop will be cared for by agriscience and FFA students. Pictured are (back row, l-r)  Lindsay Huss, Carlee Osborn, Hailee Werer, Memory Sylvester, Noah Bohan, Lucas Evans, Emily Carlson, George Chamberlain, Hayden Hartford, (front row, l-r)  Mrs. Asmus, Layna Cardella, and Athelia Pachovas.
