It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jerry Allen Waldo on August 7, 2025, at the age of 58.
After a long hard-fought battle, surrounded with the love of his family and friends, he has transitioned into the glorious, accepting, all-knowing light of the Lord God in Heaven.
He was born August 1, 1967, to Philip and Dorothy (Tharp) Waldo. He grew up in the Cass County area, attending the Cass and Marcellus school systems, eventually graduating from Marcellus High School, where he played football, ran track, and played percussion in the high school band. Upon graduation, he went to work for Hayden Beardslee Ford in Cassopolis Michigan. Jerry also joined the Newberg – Porter volunteer firefighters, where he enjoyed helping others. After many years of working at Hayden Beardslee, he then became an employee of the Cass County Road Commission, where he helped to fix and maintain their equipment. Jerry also made many friends while there, whom he enjoyed spending time with.Â
Jerry loved and lived his life to the fullest. He was always there for his family and friends. Giving each one a special relationship that will never be forgotten. He enjoyed watching sports, NASCAR, fishing, hunting, spending time with family and friends, and fixing anything mechanical. He loved learning new things and solving problems. Jerry was our family “Google”. He always came up with the answer.
