1. Treasurer’s Report, Reported by Sarah for Joel
a. Checking and Savings Balances reviewed.
b. CD Update – The CD has been redeemed at PNC and deposited into the savings at G.W. Jones Bank. A motion made by Sarah and supported by George for Estela and Joel to open a CD at G.W. Jones Exchange Bank with the current 8 month special. 7 Ayes, 0 Nays, motion carried.
c. Bank Changes – A motion made by Sarah and supported by Marie/Jimmy to make the following changes:
• Safe Deposit Box – Remove Sherry Townsend and add Estela Salazar and Joel Bartram.
• Checking – add Estela Salazar
• Savings – add Estela Salazar

2. Secretary’s Report, Sarah
a. Marcellus News Holiday Ad – A motion made by Marie and supported by Sherry to place a Holiday ad in the December 18th edition for $25. 7 Ayes, 0 Nays, motion carried.
b. Marcellus News Senior Luncheon Ad – A motion made by Marie and supported by Tony to run an ad the next 2 weeks for the Senior Luncheon. 7 Ayes, 0 Nays, motion carried.
c. Marcellus News deadline – Sarah advised that the minutes will be emailed out after the meeting tonight for review. The deadline for next week publishing is Friday, November 21st at 5pm. Be sure to let Sarah know if any changes need to be made.
3. President’s Report, Marie for Estela
No report
4. Officer’s Meeting Update, Marie/Sarah
a. Project Night Follow Up – Marie and Sarah both enjoyed all the presentations and learned quite a bit more about each project. Sarah recommended that others attend next year if they are able.
b. Backpack Project – An idea was shared at Project Night about putting backpacks together for foster children that would have basic toiletries, things to do, blanket, stuffed animal, water bottle, etc. Marie contacted Tammy Curtis at the Marcellus Elementary to see how many children we have. Tammy seemed to really like the idea and will get a number to us.
5. Halloween Table Follow Up, Sherry
Sherry set up a table at the library and there were almost 1,000 people who attended. She had two people who signed our interest form and are present tonight. She recommended that we should do this next year or participate in other events held at the library.
6. Senior Citizen Luncheon, All
Food, desserts and drinks were finalized. The event is scheduled for Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 12-2pm at VFW Post 4054. Luncheon is open to those 55+. Menu will be the same as last year with plans to serve 120 people. Club Members are to report at 9:30am and provide a dessert. Estela and Marie are working on decorations. Mike Burleigh has some community members willing to volunteer.
7. Fundraiser Idea for Christmas in the Village, Sherry/Marie
Due to a need for a license to raffle a giant stocking, this idea will be tabled until next year when there is more time to obtain a license.
8. Next Meeting Planning, All
a. December Meeting – An informal meeting is usually held during the Senior Luncheon. We will have more information to decide if we can do the backpack project. If so, we will have a meeting on Thursday, December 18 at 5:30pm to stuff the backpacks.
b. Food – Tony has a hotdog roller and will buy hotdogs, sausages and buns. Sarah will get chips.
9. Additional Items
a. New Meeting Location – Tony mentioned the benefit of having Patch and Remington as the club’s physical address. Not only does it give more possibilities for grants, but also a venue for fundraising opportunities. He will see if Sarah can attend a future meeting as a guest speaker to discuss these opportunities.
b. Storage – Marie asked Tony if we would be able to store our flag, banner and Lion statues at Patch and Remington and he ensured there was enough storage space for those items.
c. Other Community Initiatives at Patch and Remington – The Tree of Remembrance has been placed inside and profits from the tree go to the Marcellus Food Pantry. They will also have the Giving Tree this year.
