Supervisor Koshar called the meeting to order at 6:00pm and led The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Cass County Undersheriff Tim Schuur. Roll Call: Koshar, Mroz, Hess, and Plummer – Schick absent
Mroz amended the agenda to to remove budget amendments after notice was received from the auditor. Motion by Koshar, seconded by Hess. All Ayes, Schick absent – Motion carried
Motion by Koshar, seconded by Hess, to approve the minutes from December 17, 2024, meeting with a minor correction. All Ayes – motion carried.
Motion by Mroz, support by Hess, to pay the bills as presented. Roll Call: Ayes: Koshar, Hess, Mroz and Plummer. Schick Absent Motion Carried
Motion by Hess, support by Plummer, to accept treasurer’s report as presented. All Ayes, Schick Absent – motion carried.

• Cass County Sheriff’s Department Report – Sheriff Clint Roach introduced Undersheriff Tim Schuur. He shared information on new recruits.
• Planning Commission: Planning Commission chair, Ken Chemers, information from the Planning Commission meeting.
• Sexton Report – Sexton Kruger shared a letter regarding termination of his contract and his concerns

Supervisor’s Report:
o Supervisor Koshar thanked Debra Hess for assisting in writing for a $1M grant award. The grant was approved
o Koshar shared a letter to Sexton Kruger regarding termination of contract. Motion was made by Hess to approve letter; however, motion did not receive a second and will be tabled until the next meeting.
o Motion by Plummer, seconded by Mroz, to approve restriping of Hemlock Lake Rd in two spots, and Sheldon Creek Rd from M-216 to Knight Street. Roll call vote: Ayes: Mroz, Koshar, Hess, and Plummer – Schick absent – Motion carried
o Motion by Plummer, seconded by Hess, to approve Marcellus Township Fee schedule as recommended by Zoning Administrator. All Ayes – Motion Carried
o Motion by Koshar, seconded by Plummer, to increase monthly rent for Sheriff’s Department from $2000 to $2500, due to rising energy costs. Roll call vote: Ayes – Koshar, Mroz, Hess, Plummer – Schick absent – motion carried
o Motion by Koshar, seconded by Hess, to amend the current budget to reflect such an increase in income. All ayes, motion carried.

• A group of citizens shared their concerns with the village and asked the board if there was something that could be done. They were given information
