Marcellus Township Regular Board Meeting Minutes – July 20, 2026

Trustee Schick called the meeting to order at 6:00pm and led the Pledge of Allegiance.

Roll Call: Present: Schick, Mroz, and Plummer. Absent: Koshar and Hess

Motion by Mroz, supported by Schick, to approve the agenda of the July 20, meeting as presented. All Ayes – motion carried

Motion by Mroz seconded by Schick, to approve the minutes of the June 16, 2026, meeting as presented. All Ayes, motion carried.

Motion by Mroz, support by Schick, to approve the bills in the amount of $42,250.49. Roll call vote: Ayes – Mroz, Schick, and Plummer. Absent: Hess and Koshar. Motion Carried.

Treasurer Mroz shared the monthly treasurer’s report. Motion by Plummer, support by Schick, to accept treasurer’s report as presented. All Ayes – motion carried.

REPORTS:
• Cass County Sheriff’s Department Report –Undersheriff Schuur shared the monthly report.
• Planning Commission: No report to share
• Sexton Report – No report to share
• Commissioner Northrop – No report to share.
• MAESA – Trustee Schick shared the monthly report
• Zoning Report – Lamoreaux shared the monthly report
• Blight Report – Lamoreaux shared the monthly report including several site visits and closure of one file.
• Supervisor’s Report: No report to share

New Business:
• The PA 116 request for Reed farm was presented. Motion by Schick, seconded by Plummer to approve the request. Roll call vote: Ayes: Schick, Plummer, and Mroz. Absent: Koshar and Hess. Motion Carried. Clerk will forward paperwork to State.
