Hess mentioned adding Zoning Resolution under New Business to the agenda. Motion by Koshar, second by Hess, to approve the agenda as amended – All Ayes – motion carried
Motion by Hess, second by Mroz, to approve the minutes from the May 21, 2024. All ayes – motion carried.
Motion by Hess, support by Mroz, to pay the bills as presented. Roll Call: Ayes: Koshar, Mroz, Hess, and Plummer. Absent: Schick Motion Carried
Motion by Hess, support by Plummer, to accept treasurer’s report as presented. All Ayes – motion carried.
Public Comments: Ron and Marcia Lofts shared information regarding the Cass County Council on Aging renewal that will be on the August 6th ballot.
Patricia Johnson shared her concerns regarding the marijuana grow on Burlington Road.

REPORTS:
• Cass County Sheriff’s Department Report – Deputy Sheteron introduced the newest trainee, Deputy Showers.
• Supervisor Koshar shared information regarding a buoy that has been placed in Curtis Cove at Big Fish Lake. Motion by Koshar, seconded by Hess, to approve the buoy that has been placed in Curtis Cove by the riparian residents located at Big Fish Lake to attempt to avert any accidents caused by someone operating a motorized watercraft, including jet skis, in a careless manner which could cause injury or death to anyone being struck while in the water and to consider Curtis Cove to be a “No Wake” area due to its proximity to the shore. Roll call vote: Ayes: Koshar, Hess, Schick, Mroz, and Plummer. Motion Carried
• Sexton Kruger shared that there was 1 burial and 2 cremations. He also reports that he found that one monument was in the incorrect spot. Motion by Schick, seconded by Plummer, to spend approximately $450 to have the monument moved to the correct gravesite. Roll call vote: Ayes: Koshar, Mroz, Schick, Hess, and Plummer. Motion Carried
• Commissioner Locke – The Animal Control Shelter is installing their new fencing. The Courthouse project is still on task to be finished in October.
• MAESA – Schick presented report for MAESA board and discussion followed. Schick moved to advance MAESA $30,000, to be reimbursed from their millage payment, seconded by Hess. Roll call vote: Ayes: Koshar, Schick, Hess, Mroz, and Plummer. Motion Carried

• Supervisor’s Report:
• As of June 4, 2024, in the Jones v Marcellus Twp case, a letter was received that another attorney had been assigned had been changed. Additionally, as of a letter received on June 18, 2024, the court ruled in favor of the Township and Zoning Board of Appeals and the suit was dismissed.
• The 2024-2025 budget was shared for the Marcellus Township Library. Schick moved to approve the budget for the library, with a second from Hess. All Ayes, motion carried.
New Business:
• Supervisor Koshar read a resolution regarding the rezoning of three parcels from residential to Ag Production. Motion by Koshar, seconded by Schick, to approve the rezoning of these three parcels from residential to Ag Production. Roll call vote: Ayes: Koshar, Schick, Mroz, Hess, and Plummer. Motion Carried
• Clerk Plummer asked the Board if the pay rate could be raised for the election inspectors. Motion by Plummer, seconded by Hess, to raise the pay rate to $20/hour for the Election Chairperson and $18/hour for Inspectors. Roll Call vote: Ayes: Koshar, Hess, Schick, Mroz, and Plummer. All Ayes – motion carried
Old Business
• Supervisor Koshar has set-up an appointment with Davis & Associates. The meeting was held on June 26th.
Public Comments
• A Village Citizen shared concern that village members were treated unfairly at the most recent Planning Commission meeting. The concern was taken into consideration.
