Marcellus TWP Regular Board Meeting – March 18, 2025

Supervisor Koshar called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Supervisor Koshar.

Roll Call: Koshar, Hess, Schick, Mroz, Plummer – absent

Approval of the Agenda – Motion by Schick & seconded by Hess – All ayes – Plummer absent

Approval of the Minutes – Motion by Hess & seconded by Schick – All ayes – Plummer absent

Approval of the Accounts Payable (with changes to add Lamoreaux bills) – Motion by Koshar & seconded by Schick – All ayes -Plummer absent

Approval of the Treasurer’s Report – Motion by Hess & seconded by Schick– All ayes – Plummer absentApproval of the Accounts Payable (with changes to add Lamoreaux bills) – Motion by Koshar & seconded by Schick – All ayes -Plummer absent

REPORTS
*Sheriff’s Department – Undersheriff Tim Schuur gave a report.

* Cemetery Sexton Report – 1 burial, working on damaged stones, 3 roads need repaired, looking into some solar lights, Motion by Koshar & seconded by Hess to pay the $4410.00 to Roger Cripps for road repairs – all ayes – Plummer – absent, a motion by Koshar & seconded by Schick to reimburse Greg Grames for the purchase of grass seed in the amount of $180.00 – all ayes – Plummer – absent

* Cass County Commissioner Al Northrop – No Report

* MAESA – Reports presented by Matt Schick.

* Planning Commission – Amended Marijuana Ordinances, filing date changed to March 1 and Growers provide insurance. Koshar made a motion to accept the amended Marijuana Ordinances & seconded by Schick -all ayes, Plummer – absent 

* Zoning/Blight Administrator – Brian Lamoreaux gave the monthly report.

* Supervisor Report – a bill was presented in the amount of $460.00 to Schuitmaker out of the Licensing & Permits fund. Tucker from Ranger Power has taken a new job elsewhere, Ed will meet with this replacement soon. In regards to the township audit no pending litigations per attorney. Debra Hess helped write the grant for the Solar project, Motion by Koshar and seconded by Schick to pay Debra $400.00 for her help writing grant – all ayes – Plummer – absent.

New Business
Kyle Brown shared his thoughts and concerns.

Dump passes will be available from April 1 through June 30, 2025.
