Marcellus TWP Regular Board Meeting Minutes

November 15, 2022

Supervisor Koshar called the meeting to order at 6:00p.m. The board and visitors recited the Pledge of Allegiance

Roll Call: Koshar, Hess, Mroz, Schick, Plummer

Motion by Koshar, second by Hess, to approve the agenda as presented. Motion carried.

Motion by Koshar, second by Schick, to approve the minutes from the October 18, 2022 meeting as presented. Motion carried

Motion by Koshar, support by Schick, to pay the bills in the amount of $40,344.85. Roll Call: Ayes: Koshar, Hess, Mroz, Schick, Plummer – motion carried

Motion by Koshar, support by Plummer, to accept treasurer’s report as presented. Motion carried

Public Comments:

• None

REPORTS:

• Sheriff Behnke shared the budget for next year’s police contract.

• Trustee Schick shared the MAESA board report. In order to clarify accounts, the Fire & Ambulance Major Repairs account will be renamed Capital Investment Fund

• Greg Grames shared a quote from Beck’s Home Improvement for work to be done at Bly Cemetery. Tabled until a later date

• Blight Administrator Grames will try again to work with courts.

• Supervisor Koshar – Met with Cass County Road Commission, for year 2023, we will receive $39,544 to work with.

   o They are still working on West Saddlebag Lake. They are attempting to work with an engineer, but not receiving calls back

  o Motion by Koshar, support by Schick, to formally disengage from contract with Merritt Midwest Incorporated. All Ayes – motion carried

   o Brant Athey was contacted for the bats in the building at the cemetery. He will revisit in the spring.

New Business

• Clerk Plummer inquired as to whether or not there was a FOIA policy. She had received a FOIA request for the tabulator tape from the November Election. She had contacted another clerk in the County as to what they answered. They answered with their information and the request was rescinded. Suggestions were to answer with the dollar amount of $50 and see what the answer is.

Motion by Hess, support by Schick, to adjourn at 6:53pm. Motion carried. Respectfully Submitted,
