Within a few short weeks, the Cass Family Clinic’s Mobile Health Clinic will make regular visits to Marcellus for either walk-ins or appointments.
CASSOPOLIS, Mich. – – – As the July 17, 2025, edition of The News was going to print on Tuesday, Cass Family Clinic was set to unveil its new Mobile Health Clinic during a ribbon-cutting event in Cassopolis.
According to former Sheriff and current Health Clinic consultant Richard Behnke, the renovated Class A motorhome will provide medical services to persons throughout the county on a regular basis. Behnke presented the information to the Marcellus Village Council during its meeting on July 8.
The Mobile Health Clinic will offer health and wellness exams, sports physicals, substance use disorder (SUD) behavioral therapy, acute musculoskeletal issues, blood pressure checks, influenza vaccinations, patient education, and other medical resources to the residents of Southwest Michigan.
“At Cass Family Clinic, our goal is to ensure that residents have access to quality healthcare – no matter where they are,” said Cass Family Clinic CEO Joe Gavan. “The Mobile Health Clinic allows us to deliver care in a new and innovative way, reaching patients who might otherwise face challenges accessing services. Behnke says once training and staffing are complete, the Mobile Clinic could be on the road as early as mid-August. The Clinic will make regular stops at various locations in the county, however, a set schedule has not yet been released.
The Mobile Health Clinic services are available to anyone in the community, not just Cass Family Clinic patients. Residents may register as a Cass Family Clinic patient at the Mobile Clinic. It will operate Monday through Thursday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Scheduled and walk-in appointments will be available.
