Muriel Joan Romig, 92, of Avon Park, Florida, formerly of Marcellus, Michigan died peacefully Tuesday, September 12, 2023, in the comfort of her family’s presence.
Her life began August 19, 1931, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Otto and Margaret (Brunke) Hering. She married Gerald J. Romig in 1953. After fifty-seven years of marriage, he preceded her in death in 2010.
Muriel will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by two sons, David Romig of Sebring, Florida, Alan (Cathy) Romig of Bay City, Michigan, and two grandchildren, Brittany Romig and Katie Romig. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and her older brother, Robert Hering.
Family and friends will gather at the graveside Friday, October 6, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. in Bly Cemetery in Marcellus, Michigan where Muriel will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Gerald.
