This week, we’re highlighting two new memoirs and an autobiography. A memoir tells the story of an aspect of the writer’s life and often details how the writer overcame struggles and faced challenges in a unique way

Deer Man: Seven Years of Living in the Wild by Geoffrey Delorme and translated by Shaun Whiteside. Delorme is a nature photographer, writer, and deer expert. At age sixteen, he began visiting the roe deer near his home in northern France. He left civilization behind at age nineteen to become a creature of the forest living among the deer for seven years and achieved an extraordinary level of intimacy with wild creatures during his time there.. He shares how forming connections with the natural world can help us all feel less lonely and urges readers to never take nature for granted and work for its protection.
