Special Meeting June 29, 2022

Supervisor Oxley called special meeting of the Election Committee to order at 6:00 p.m.  Members present – Meade, Oxley, Nesbitt and Bitely.  Also present one guest. 

   Election Committee meeting was held for the appointment of election inspectors for the Primary and General Elections 2022 as follows:

Elizabeth Lutz – Democrat

Brenda Nesbitt – Republican

Sandy Rogers – Democrat

Holly Brightwell – Democrat

Karen Churchill – Republican

Walter Hitchcock – Democrat

Claudine Osborne – Republican

Wendy Pursley – Republican

Laura Rice – Democrat

Tammy Riggs – Republican

Christine Mary Roussel – Republican

Clinton Sebastian – Republican

Daphne Sebastian – Republican

Heather Smith – Republican

Martha Wright – Democrat

Receiving Board:

Elisabeth Lutz

Heather Smith – Republican

Laura Rice – Democrat

Motion by Nesbitt with support by Bitely to approve the election inspectors as presented. Voice vote – all yes.  Motion passed.

Motion by Meade with support by Nesbitt to adjourn meeting at 6:10 pm. Voice vote – all yes. Motion passed.

Public Hearing

July 13, 2022

Supervisor Oxley called the Headlee and Truth in Taxation Public Hearing to order at 6:00 p.m.  Members present- Meade, Oxley, Bitely, and Nesbitt.  Also present – Attorney Schuitmaker and 1 guest.

Motion by Bitely with support by Meade to adjourn the Headlee and Truth in Taxation Public Hearing at 6:38 p.m. Voice vote – all yes. Motion passed.

Public Hearing

July 13, 2022

Supervisor Oxley called the Road Special Assessment District Public Hearing to order at 6:42 p.m.  Members present- Meade, Oxley, Bitely, and Nesbitt.  Also present – Attorney Schuitmaker and 1 guest.

Motion by Nesbitt with support by Bitely to adjourn the Road Special Assessment District Public Hearing at 6:48 p.m. Voice vote – all yes. Motion passed.

Regular Meeting

July 13, 2022

Supervisor Oxley called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.  Members present – Meade, Oxley, Bitely and Nesbitt.  Also present – Attorney Schuitmaker and six guests.

Motion by Bitely with support by Nesbitt to approve the minutes of the regular meeting on June 8, 2022 with corrections. Voice vote – all yes. Motion passed.

Motion by Bitely with support by Nesbitt to approve the minutes of the special meeting on June 29, 2022 as presented. Voice vote – all yes. Motion passed.

Motion by Bitely with support by Nesbitt to approve the Treasurer’s report subject to audit. Voice vote – all yes. Motion passed.

Motion by Nesbitt with support by Bitely to approve the bills as presented. Roll call vote – all yes. Motion passed.

Motion by Meade with support by Bitely for a resolution to renew Township-Wide Special Assessment District and spread the roll for fire protection at a rate of 1 (one) mil. Roll call vote – all yes. Motion passed.

Motion by Meade with support by Bitely for a resolution to reaffirm Township-Wide Special Assessment District for the cost of construction, improvement and maintenance of public roads at a rate of 1 (one) mil. Roll call vote – all yes. Motion passed.

Motion by Bitely with support by Meade for a resolution to designate bank depositories. Roll call vote – all yes. Motion passed.

Motion by Meade with support by Bitely to accept Supervisor Oxley’s recommendation to join Antwerp Township in their electronic recycle program at a cost not to exceed $500. Roll call vote – all yes. Motion passed.

Motion by Bitely with support by Meade to not roll back Headlee and Truth in Taxation for the 2022 tax roll. Roll call vote – all yes. Motion passed.

Motion by Bitely with support by Nesbitt to adjourn the meeting at 7:55 pm. Voice vote – all yes.  Motion passed.
