Supervisor Oxley called the meeting to order at 7:00p.m. Members present – Oxley, Bitely, Nesbitt, Packer, and Smith. Also present – Attorney Moraitis and six guests.
Motion by Bitely with support by Packer to approve the minutes of the regular meeting on January 8, 2025. Voice vote – all yes. Motion passed.
Motion by Bitely with support by Packer to approve the Treasurer’s report subject to audit. Voice vote – all yes. Motion passed.
Motion by Packer with support by Nesbitt to approve the bills as presented. Roll call vote – all yes. Motion passed.
Motion by Bitely with support by Packer to approve Supervisor Oxley’s recommendation to hire Jennifer Turner Robertson as an Assessor Assistant at a rate of $25 per hour. Roll call vote – all yes. Motion passed.
Motion by Smith with support by Packer to approve Supervisor Oxley’s recommendation to reappoint Tim Seppala and Todd Hackenberg to the Planning Commission for 3-year terms. Voice vote – all yes. Motion passed.
Motion by Packer with support by Bitely to adjust the March Board of Review hours to March 12 from 10 am to 4 pm and March 13 from 3 pm to 9 pm. Voice vote – all yes. Motion passed.
Motion by Nesbitt with support by Bitely to approve a resolution to request the assistance of the County of Cass pursuant to Act 185 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1957, as amended. Roll call vote – all yes. Motion passed.
Motion by Bitely with support by Packer to adjourn the meeting at 8:16 pm. Voice vote – all yes. Motion passed.
