The Marcellus Township Board will hold a public hearing on the proposed township budgets for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2027, at the Marcellus Township Hall, 13163 Marcellus Highway, Marcellus, MI, on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 5:45 P.M.
The purpose of the hearing is to hear oral and have written comment from the public concerning the proposed annual budgets for the Township of Marcellus (.9676 mill general operating, 1.482 mill roads, 1.4514 mill police, 1.976 mill fire and ambulance), Marcellus Township Wood Memorial Library (1.976 mill general operating), and Hudson Memorial Building (.4940 mill general operating).
The property tax millage rate proposed to be levied to support the proposed budgets will be a subject of the hearing. The township will collect the maximum allowable millage by law.
The Township will levy the maximum allowable millage by law not to exceed the following:
Operating .9676
Fire/Ambulance 1.976
Roads 1.482
Library 1.9760
Hudson Mem Bldg .4940
Police 1.4514
Fire/Ambulance 1.9760
A copy of the budget is available for inspection by contacting the Marcellus Township Clerk.
